Who It’s For: Dentists who agree to practice in underserved areas in Maine for at least two years, renewable for an additional two years.
How to Apply: Applications are available online in February of each year. Applications for the 2023 year are no longer being accepted.
What Loans Qualify: Any loans (including federal, state, and private) that were used to pay for undergraduate education and graduate dental education.
How Much?: Up to $20,000 per year, up to $80,000 total for those who received a first program loan before 01/01/2020. Up to $25,000 annually, $100,000 total for those entering into a first loan agreement on or after 01/01/2020.
Anything Else I Should Know?: This option is incompatible with the National Health Service Corps Repayment Program.
