Who It’s For: Highly qualified Primary Care, Dental, and Mental Health Care health professionals willing to work in a health professional shortage area in the state of Delaware, for a minimum of two years.

How to Apply: You can find the necessary applications on their website.

What Loans Qualify: Most federal, state, or private loans that were used to pay for the applicant’s education. Please note that any consolidation containing invalid loans (for example, a federal consolidation containing Parent PLUS loans used to pay for someone else’s education, or a private consolidation containing some unrelated debt) will be considered ineligible. More information here.

How Much?: Loan repayment contracts can vary from $30,000 to $100,000, depending on the applicant’s level of expertise and the amount of need for their skills in the health professional shortage area they attend.

Anything Else I Should Know?:  After the first two years, it may be possible to apply for a 1-year extension for an additional $15,000 to $50,000, depending on the factors mentioned above.
