Who It’s For: Primary care and behavioral health providers who work at non-profit organizations in designated health professional shortage areas in the state of Hawaii. A 2-year commitment is required to qualify.
What Loans Qualify: Any loans (including federal, state, and private) that were used to pay for the relevant healthcare degree.
How Much?: Up to $30,000 per year.
Anything Else I Should Know?: General Practitioners (physicians who have not completed residency training programs) are not eligible for funding under SLRP. You can look up health professional shortage areas here.
