Who It’s For: Physicians in a number of fields (primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics) who work in federally-designated health professional shortage areas.
How to Apply: Fill out the RPIP Application and send it to the address listed at the end of the document along with any requested documentation.
What Loans Qualify: Any debt with a financial aid program or financial institution incurred to meet the educational costs of attending a medical school. This cannot include undergraduate loans, and consolidated loans can only include the educational costs of attending medical school.
How Much?: Up to $100,000 over the course of four years.
Anything Else I Should Know?: Be careful to read the Application Instructions section of the application – among other things, it states that your application must typewritten instead of handwritten (barring your signature)!
