Who It’s For: Health practitioners working for a nonprofit or public entity within a federally-designated health professional shortage area. You will need to work at least 40 hours a week, for at least 45 weeks per year, over the course of two years to qualify.
How to Apply: You can apply through the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare website, though only during the official application period.
What Loans Qualify: Any loans (including federal, state, and private) that were used to pay for the relevant healthcare degree.
How Much?: Up to $25,000 per year, $50,000 total.
Anything Else I Should Know?: Due to exhausted state funds, the next application period is tentatively scheduled for fall of 2019.
