Nevada Health Service Corps

Who It’s For: Health professionals in the state of Nevada who have no restrictions upon their DEA certificate who agree to serve an assigned community for a set amount of time, usually about two years.

How to Apply: Applicants can contact the program coordinator (as of this writing, Keith Clark) to apply. Awards are typically made during July or August, although one can apply at any point during the year.

What Loans Qualify: There are no particular restrictions on type of loans that can be paid through this program, as long as they are education loans obtained from a legitimate organization.

How Much?: Each application is evaluated individually and awards are made based upon the funding available during that cycle. The NHSC reserves the right to determine the amount of the award and the length of the period of obligated service individually for each application.

Anything Else I Should Know?:  Candidates for this program must agree to provide services to all patients, regardless of their ability to pay.
