Student loan forgiveness: How to prepare before court ruling

Betsy Mayotte, President of the Student Loan Advisory Institute, encourages people not to make any payments until the pause is over. Instead, she says, put what you can pay into a savings account.

“Then you’ve maintained the habit of paying, but (you) are also earning a little interest,” she said. There’s no point in depositing that money on student loans until the last minute of 0% interest.”
